As you all know...I have the travel bug. For those of you who have never caught this illness, I'll tell you from experience, it can be a terrible disease. When you have the travel bug, you are constantly looking and thinking about all the wonderful places in the world that you would like to go. This wastes a lot of time online looking up and reading about different destinations and also makes enjoying life day to day without a trip planned very difficult. To make this sickness worse, it is very expensive. (I guess the fact that it's expensive wouldn't be so horrible if I had unlimited funds, but that is definitely not the case.) At any rate, it is an illness that I have accepted that I have and just do the best I can to deal with it. One of my remedies is to pretend to be planning some sort of future adventure with an indefinite travel date (TBD when the timing or price is right of course!). Currently, I'm looking into Australia/New Zealand. If anybody has been and has some travel tips...let me know!

You are so funny! You really should be in the travel business. Couldn't you get some degree that was funded by someone else and you studied native music and children's songs in a foreign country?
We have that bug too. We would have a whole lot more money saved up right now if we didn't. But it makes for an interesting life:) If you go to Australia, you should go to a National Wildlife Preserve. I think that is what they are called. We got to go and walk around with animals and pet kangaroos and koalas. It was so fun.
My parent's went to New Zealand last year and they did lots of really fun things. One of their favorites was a speed boat trip down a river and they said it was fabulous. If you end up seriously thinking about going . . . let me know and I can get more details from them. How fun! I wish I had enough guts to splurge on something like that. :)

Laurel, I'm proud of you for admitting that you have a problem. This is the first step after all :).
