So, I'm almost 14 weeks along and just waiting for the morning sickness to pass. It's actually more like all-day sickness, but it has gotten a lot better in the past couple of weeks. I think I'm rounding the corner. On the bright side, due to being so sick and having no appetite, I'm down almost 12 pounds since conception and weigh less than I did when we got married...which brings me to my next update.

This past weekend was our 1 Year Anniversary! It did feel a little backwards to be celebrating our 1 Year mark while also marking getting out of the 1st Trimester, but hey, you can't plan everything out perfectly, right?! The fact that we really aren't in complete control of our lives is what keeps them interesting. Ryan did a great job of planning out a day of just the two of us on Saturday down in Newport. We went to the beach at Dana Point, visited the Ritz where he proposed, and spent the night at the Marriott down there. We topped it off with a delicious room service breakfast on Sunday morning, and then headed back up to LA. It was a perfect, relaxing way to spend our anniversary. Last night I couldn't help myself and just had to put on my wedding dress again, complete with my orange shoes. Ironically, it was a little bit big, (I didn't even put on the corset!) even though I'm pregnant, but I'm not going to complain! I have no doubt the weight will come back!
Lastly, as you can see, I cut my hair, and I love it! It was just feeling so blah...so I chopped off a little over 4 inches to just below my shoulders with some fun layers. It's great! The best part is that I don't even have to do anything to it and it dries with style!

Alrighty, that's the update. Sorry it has been so long. I'll scan in my fabulous ultrasound picture later this week and put it up. But at least, now you know!
This video is how we told my parents. I was going home for a wedding and it was just after my Mom's birthday, so I told her I had a surprise for her. I had my brother bring the candles and everything to me in the garage and sent him off with my camera to video when I came in, and both he and my Dad thought it was just a birthday cake. Well, you can see from their reaction, they were all very excited that it was more than a birthday surprise!

Yipee! Have it one day early so we can share a birthday :)
(you look hot!)
Congratulations!! I'm so excited for you guys. Yes, first-trimester weight-loss is great. I lost about 10 lbs and was wearing all my "skinny" jeans while pregnant. It was awesome. Just wait until the appetite kicks back in! (It was around 22 weeks for me... and there wasn't much that didn't sound good to eat. I started finishing Brian's plates, too!) Looking forward to all the updates to come.
And I love your new hairdo! It looks fabulous!!
YAY! I'm so excited for you. Congratulations...you're going to be a mommy. Sorry about the morning sickness. You look great and I'm so happy for you. I just had my baby boy last Friday and I'm SO in love. You'll be the best mom.

Here comes the next Cougar Fan!! Oh, I just can't resist. You look stellar in the wedding dress. I, on the other hand can't fit into any my summer shorts. Can't wait to meet the little Plewe!!
Laurel, I love your hair! And you look fabulous in your dress.
