College Roomies

Last week 2 of my BEST friends, Lindsay and Trisha, came for a visit. We all met in the dorms freshman year at BYU and lived together for the next 3 years. Laurel Walker also lived with us for a couple of those years, but she lives in NYC and wasn't able to get away for the weekend. {We missed you Laurel!} As you can see, we are all pregnant, which made the weekend even more entertaining. Ryan was a good sport with 3 pregnant ladies, LOTS of estrogen, and baby talk. Since it's my first, I had lots of questions and took advantage of my veteran Mom friends being around. This will be Lindsay's second and Trisha's 3rd. It's fun to see the progression..we could be in a book!

Lindsay is always on top of documenting everything...I already got a thank you card from her...so, I'm just copying her list of things we did from her blog, with a few modifications. Why do the work when it's already been done?!

. They claim it's still not safe to completely trust my directions when in reality I think 2 prego ladies on a road trip begs for getting lost!
. With three prego ladies together, we spent a lot of time eating and in the bathroom
. Trish set a rule that we couldn't eat at any restaurant that exists in Las Vegas {which is where they live}. So, we ate at The Counter {delicious sweet potato fries & shakes}, Tito's Tacos, & Mio Babbo's Italian Restaurant in Westwood, and got YUMMY cookies from Diddy Riese!
. For Trish and Lindsay - it was fabulous to be on their own schedules and not waking up to their kids, not worrying about nap time, no diapers to change. We went out to eat and went shopping in peace.
. They made a stop at IKEA on the way home.
. We went shopping at The Grove, which is all decorated for Christmas, and all enjoyed trying on getting opinions about maternity clothes.
. They experienced a little bit of LA traffic and agreed that is sucks!
. I found our college video that Lindsay made for us when we graduated so of course we watched it. It was pretty funny.
. We watched a favorite movie of ours, Father of the Bride Part II.
. Manicures & pedicures - the best girl activity.
. Good friends are the best!

Thanks for coming girls. Thank you to your husbands to taking care of the kids and letting us have a fun filled, kid free weekend!

I had a great weekend getaway with you two! Definitely needs to be a tradition. Why have we not done this before? :)
