UT Trip

This past week, Justin and I have been in UT. We had a great time. Grandma and Grandpa Plewe picked us up at the airport last Wednesday. We went to dinner with them, and then headed down to Orem to stay with my sister, Katie. Her little boy, Ryan, turned 3 this past weekend, so it was great to be able to be there to help get things ready for his party. Micah, my new nephew is so precious. He just stares at you until you look at him at which point he flashes his cute smile and darling dimples! Justin was fascinated with the "baby" and got a kick out of the noises he would make and at how his legs were always kicking. For the most part, Justin and cousin Ryan got along well. Even though they light up when they see each other, we did have to remind Ryan that if you take something from Justin, you have to trade him for something else. Luckily Justin is very tolerant, so even when Ryan got into a teasing mood, Justin just went and found something else to play with rather than get upset or frustrated.

{Ryan and JR- JR was obsessed with these chairs since they were just his size!}

After the birthday party on Friday, we headed up to Salt Lake to spend time with the Grandparents. It was love at first sight with Justin and Grandma BB even though it has been several months since our last visit. I had a wedding on Saturday at the SLC Temple, so the Grandparents babysat, and Justin didn't even seem to notice that I wasn't around. He ran errands with Grandpa and planted some flowers in the garden. He got a kick out of their big dog, Cole, and liked taking him for walks with Grandpa.

The wedding was wonderful. I was able to attend the temple sealing ceremony and felt a wonderful spirit there. You could see the love and excitement both the bride and groom had for each other. The weather held out for the temple sealing and pictures afterwards. Unfortunately, the reception got totally rained out. It would have been beautiful. I felt so bad for Linsday, the bride, but she kept a smile on and didn't let the rain ruin her big day at all. If anyone could handle how awful the weather was and still be happy, it would be Lindsay.

{Some of my best memories at BYU were with these girls.
Leah and I lived next door to them, and it was like having 2 apartments to go to at anytime. It was so fun to see them all again}

For Memorial Day, we had a family BBQ with several people from the Plewe side of the family. It was fun to see everyone. We missed having Ryan around though. It's just not the same hanging out with the in-laws without your spouse. I definitely wish he had been able to come up this weekend too. Justin had a great time with the other kids though, and everyone was happy to be able to see him.
{JR & Susannah, they're just a month apart.}

On Tuesday, we met my sister and her kids at Thanksgiving Point to go to the farm. It was a perfect day. JR loved seeing all the animals and even held his hand out to feed some of them. He did a great on his pony ride. Lately, he loves pushing things, including the BOB. It's hilarious, as you can see below!

It was so fun to see you in Utah. I just wish we had more time. I think Julia and Justin would have a lot of fun together:) Would you mind emailing me that picture of all of us at the reception. None of the shots Mark got of all of us together turned out at all.
