So, after months, no, take that back, years of anticipation for where we're going to go when Ryan graduated, we know! We are headed for (drum roll please!) Roseville, CA. It's a great community about 20 minutes north of Sacramento. Ryan got a great job opportunity with Pacific Dental Services and will be working in 2 of their offices (one in Roseville and one in the next town, Lincoln) and then in a couple of months they plan on added him into a third office. We are thrilled and definitely feel like the Lord has had His hand in this. We pull out of Los Angeles October 1st. Here are some of the pros we've listed about the area in no particular order:
- about an hour from Tahoe and ski resorts- lots of lakes and rivers = boating, camping, and fishing adventures
- beautiful surroundings
- family friendly community
- lots of community parks
- great schools
- affordable housing (by CA standards)
- a large population of LDS = strong wards and instant social connections
- a little over an hour from my parents
- about an hour from San Francisco
- major sports teams like the Kings, the 49ers, the Giants to name just a few
One of the most exciting things about this move is that we will be in a house! 4 walls of our very own! I will be able to press a button to open the garage, then walk from there straight into the house without having to go up any stairs!!! I will have a laundry room with my own appliances that I can use without worrying about operating hours and without having to move some stranger's laundry out of the way. We'll have a backyard that Justin can run and run and run in, and I can see him from the kitchen or the family room windows. Speaking of windows, I'll be able to open them! Not only that, but I can open them without having the noise and dust from the 405 freeway. Here are some pictures of our home to be.
While we're excited and ready to move on to the next phase of our lives, we will definitely still miss some aspects of L.A. It has been a fun place to be for the last 7 years. There is always something to do, the weather can't be beat, and we've made a lot of great friends. However, L.A. will always be here to visit, and we're hoping that some of those great friends will come visit us too.

YAY!!! This is awesome news. So happy for you guys. I think I have a friend in Roseville from Danville, I'll have to ask her and let you know. What a cute house, too!
YAY! The house looks great & that backyard is FABULOUS!
Wow! What great news! And the best parts--the house, of course, and you get to stay in CA like you wanted! That is totally awesome. I am so happy for you, although a little sad that we are not currently hanging out in SLC together. :)

How exciting...and how soon! We'd love to get together sometime. Maybe we can meet up at a park or something. We pass through Roseville at least a few times a week.
You will miss LA....but LOVE having a house. Good luck packing/moving!
