Dear Justin,
I'm a little behind in writing this letter, but oh well. In actuality, who knows if you'll ever even care to read these letters.
9 Months. You've known been out in the world for as long as you were being formed in my tummy. Kind of hard to believe. In some ways it feels like you've been out much longer then you were in, but in other ways I can't believe your 1 year-old birthday is just around the corner. This past month you have definitely mastered crawling. It is basically a text book perfect crawl. And, you are very fast. You have 2 different modes- explorer mode and mission mode. Explorer mode it just what you would think, you kind of go and stop and look around and then go and stop, etc. Mission mode is entirely different. In mission mode, you have your destination in mind and nothing is going to stop you from getting there. You put your head down rather than watch where you're going, and go as fast as you can until you've reached wherever it is that you've determined is the destination.
I happen to think you are very smart. When you hear me get out my keys, you crawl to the door. If you are in the other room and I call for you, usually you will come find me and get very proud of yourself for doing so. If you hear a door open whether it is my closet, the bedroom, the bathroom, you try your hardest to get to it before it closes again. You are still my little cuddle bug when you wake up or when you're tired. (I hope you never grow out of that.) You also like to snuggle on my lap whenever we read books. You have a nice 2 nap schedule, and usually you stick to it unless I interrupt it with errands and things I need to get done. You stopped sleeping through the night for a while, and I realized it was because you weren't getting enough milk before bed. So- now you have a bottle before bed and that seems to be keeping you much more satisfied, and we're all sleeping better now. You continue to be an adrenaline junky! The higher you are thrown, the faster you are spun, the crazier people act, the more you love it. You are laughing more and more, and we can't get enough of it. I think the prevailing nickname is "Happy." EVERYONE, and I mean everyone, everywhere, comments on how you are the happiest baby they have ever seen. Oh- and like your Mom, you think you are hilarious!
At 9 months:
Weight- 21 pounds 2 ounces
Height- 28 inches

Ok, Cal is doing a weird thing where he has stopped sleeping through the night too, my theory is also that he just gets too hungry, but nothing I do seems to help! We feed him cereal and the veggie of the week and I nurse him all right before bed, but he has still been waking up like twice a night! What am I doing wrong?? Any suggestions?
