Baby Shower

My friend, Jody, was nice enough to throw me a baby shower a couple of weeks ago. Even though I didn't feel like I needed a bunch of stuff since I already have a lot from when Justin was born, she insisted that baby #2 still needed to be celebrated. So, she organized a lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. Instead of a bunch of clothes and blankets and things that I pretty much already have, I got mostly gift cards, diapers, children's books, and "mom pampering" things like a spa pedicure and some nice lotions...thank you everyone...it was perfect and just what I needed! It was really fun, and nice that it was inside a nice, air conditioned facility considering it was literally over 100 degrees outside. We played a fun celebrity kids name game, opened presents, chatted, ate yummy food, and of course had some delicious dessert. I'm really glad we ended up having a shower because it helped me get more excited about having baby #2 join our family. Up until the shower, it was feeling rather anti-climactic or something because there hasn't been all the running around getting prepared like with Justin. So grateful for a friend like her!

I'm sad I missed it! Looks like you had fun though. I love the family pictures. They turned out great.

Yep - it's time for another request for updates. Either via the blog or Instagram. :)
