Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner at home before we left for UT. I got out 2 of our 3 place settings of China, our water goblets, and our champaign flutes! It was really fun to set the table really pretty. Funny thing was that we had both gone to the gym that afternoon, so we had this beautiful table set with candles and everything and then there we were in our gym clothes. Oh well.
So, I'm convinced that my father-in-law is determined to turn me into a Utahn. While it ain't gonna happen, I do enjoy his efforts! One such event was taking me shooting. I'm always up for doing new things, and it was actually very fun! We shot hand guns and a rifle at some still targets. I wasn't very good with the hand guns, but was surprisingly accurate with the rifle once I got the hang of it. Then we shot trap with shot guns. At the end of the day, we figured out that I am both right and left eye dominant somehow, which means it is extremely difficult for me to hit a target because my eyes switch off which one is going to do the focusing. So, I have to always shut one eye in order to stand a chance at actually hitting what I'm aiming for. Either that, or I have to learn to shoot both righty and lefty. Good thing shooting is a skill that I will never have to actually cultivate!
We also went to the temple in Salt Lake City to see the Christmas lights and the Nativity.
It was so beautiful and surprisingly peaceful considering the number of people walking around. There were so many lights. The church definitely knows how to illuminate a tree! Over the weekend, we also went to see 007, and I went shopping with Bobbi, my mother-in-law. It was a really great trip. I'm so glad and feel so fortunate to have such wonderful in-laws. I genuinely love them and enjoy spending time with them. Thank you Plewe's for such a great first holiday away from my own family.

Glad you had a great time. I missed you though and think it kind of stinks that when you get married you don't get to see your sisters as much. Love you!
