I'm not exactly sure why, maybe it's human nature, or maybe it's just my nature, but it is ALWAYS funny to see people bump into things. Unfortunately, yesterday, I was the one performing the classic blunder. Ryan was I were in our room, Justin was standing by Ryan by the dresser, I had just gotten a bag out of my closet and turned to go out of the bedroom when I suddenly found myself doing an abrupt meet and greet with the door. Not the big, flat face of the door, the skinny side. That's right- my forehead/body made a "T" with the end of the door. Ryan, my nice, sweet, kind, caring husband was CRACKING UP!!!! He couldn't even speak he was laughing so hard. I stood stunned for a moment, tears welled up because it hurt so bad, but I too couldn't help but laugh at what had just happened. As I slumped to the floor to try to re-collect myself, my cute little JR came over and gave me a hug. (Apparently he is the only one with real compassion around here!) I admitted that if it had been Ryan, I would have been literally on the floor laughing. In trying to recreate what had just happened, I came to the conclusion that the handle of the bag I had just gotten from the closet must have wrapped itself around the door handle, so when I turned to go, the door closed just enough to align with my forehead as I took a step. I had a headache the rest of the day, and the spot is very tender to touch today. Why share this embarrassing moment? Well, I think laughter is one of the best gifts we can give, so this mental picture is a nice gift for all of you. I hope that a few of you will get a good smile on your face, if not an out loud moment of laughter at the mental picture of me full on walking straight into a door. Please comment if you did!

Hahah! Its really bad but its the same for me! But I think I take it one step further. I laugh when my friend sprained his pinky toe and wasn't able to climb anymore. It totally bothered him and its killing him that he cant climb, but I find it so cute and funny
I do enjoy seeing a nice bump or fall myself. Your story gave me a good chuckle. I hope your head is feeling better now:)
I'm dying! (although I am very sorry about your head :)) thanks for giving me a laugh at your expense. I even had to share with Cory, it was that funny!
That is hilarious! Hope your headache is better. Thanks for letting us all share in the humor of that moment!
Ouch!! I stumbled to your blog through blogger's next blog. I too have bumped something and had tears in my eyes it hurt so bad. Hope you have a great weekend.
well, well, well!! Glad to hear Ry has the same great sense of humor we all do! Sorry about your head. :( I fell of backwards off our bed, once...
I'm totally that person who always laughs when people fall. I'm not trying to be mean, but I really can't help but laugh!
Just last night I heard the baby wake up and went shuffling off to get him from his crib to feed him. Totally forgot our bedroom door was only half open (and couldn't see it in the dark and was so groggy at 3am anyway), I totally walked straight into the edge of it. It wasn't as funny all by myself in the darkness and having just woken up, but a little funnier remembering it now. =)
