Elmo Party

We had a really fun weekend celebrating Justin's upcoming birthday. The Plewe's drove out from Salt Lake last week, and while the weather was the worst it has been since we moved to Roseville, we still had a great time with Grandma BB and Papa Plewe. My parents came up Friday evening and stayed thru Saturday night. Max, his fiancee Emily, Carly and the Bonners came on Saturday to join the Elmo celebration.

It's always fun to get both sets of Grandparents together- they get along great and we all end up having some good laughs. My Mom and BB were so helpful with preparing the cupcakes and the food, it would not have been nearly as successful without them. The Grandpas were really helpful too. Justin was in heaven with so many people to play with and thoroughly enjoyed showing off for anyone willing to be an audience. It was great to have the Bonners there. Justin and Carson are great little buddies, and I was happy to see that Justin was so sweet with baby Luke.

Justin loved the "Melmo" theme and remarked the following day how "preetty" the leftover Elmo "tuptates" were. He LOVES marshmellows, so he particularly liked eating the eyes off of them! He has been loving all the presents he got. The Plewe's got him a shopping "tart" for his play kitchen which is perfect because now we have a place to put the play food, and a really cute Elmo cell phone that calls characters from Sesame Street. Maime and Pop-pop got him a big "darbage trut" and "Mr. Elepant" who he has been carrying around the house and requesting be a part of story time. The Bonners gave him a Little People Castle complete with "dradon" and "leetle man" (the knight) that "lib inside da tassle." Carly and Max got him some cute shirts. We got him a "lawn momer," some play food, a set of dinosaurs, a T-ball set, and my personal favorite, a sweet trike. He seriously has woken up everyday since the party and hurries downstairs to play. Thank you to everyone for making it such a fun day.
