Halloween sort of snuck up on us this year. We have had such a busy fall with me started a new job, Ryan entrenched in the Orthodontic residency, getting married, moving, yadda, yadda, yadda. In honor of our first official date to the Haunted House on the Queen Mary, the first weekend in October last year, we went to another Haunted House. We went to the Universal Studios Halloween of Horror Event. (I think that's what it's called) Anyway, it was really fun. CRAZY long lines though. That part wasn't fun. But, we had fun going through the various mazes and getting startled by the weird people that work at those things. I've always wondered what those people are like in real life...AND...almost more fascinating to me, what are their parents like?
So anyway, at school, we had parent-teacher conferences on Halloween, so no need to dress up for those. Can you imagine, a parent comes and you're just decked out for the conferences?! Ha! Ha! It was kinda sad, this was the first Halloween I can remember where I didn't come up with a fabulous costume. I'll make up for it next year. Anyway, Ryan dressed up for the Ortho. clinic. Everyone does I guess, so he was a Jazz Player. No, not a musician, but a Utah Jazz Player of course. He has some authentic jerseys that were actually worn by the players from when he worked for the Jazz back in college. Despite the fact that the tops look like dresses, he worn one anyway and was a big hit with all of the staff and patients at the UCLA clinic.
We had dinner at home and rented a scary movie. It was fun. At one point, Ryan threatened to turn the movie off because I kept screaming. Really, I think he was just as on edge as I was and wanted an excuse to turn it off. My suspicions were confirmed when he HAD to do a score check and remained looking at random stuff online rather than tuning back into the movie. Afterward, we put on an episode of The Office to lighten the mood before going to bed.
Earlier in the week, we carved pumpkins, and I made a point of having at least one Halloween decoration up! Slowly, the apartment is coming together, but just not as quickly as I would like it to. We both just have a lot of stuff!

I miss having you around during holiday time! Decorating alone is just not the same! :)
It's fun to see you guys have a blog! It's a great way to keep in touch. I wish we could have made it to your wedding. It looks like things are going really well.
